Casita BilingüeBuckeye, Arizona

Aquí solo
se habla español.
A Spanish immersion playgroup for ages 2 to 5, three mornings a week, in my front room in Buckeye.

Eight kids, one teacher, no English fallback. We sing, we read the same book twice, we cook something small, and we water the garden bed out back. Your family does not need to speak a word of Spanish at home. Mine will do the talking.

Marisol sits cross-legged on a rug with four toddlers, hands raised mid-song, in a sunlit front room.

Una mañana
en la casita
What the two hours actually look like, start to finish.

8:45
LlegadaArrival

Shoes off, bag on a hook. I say good morning to every kid by name at the door, in Spanish.

9:00
CancionesSongs

Twenty minutes of songs with hand motions. This is where the words stick first, before anyone understands them.

9:25
CuentoStory

One picture book, read twice. On the second read the kids fill in the words they already caught.

9:50
CocinaCooking

Something small and real. Quesadillas, fruit salad, masa on Fridays. Everyone gets a job and a plate.

10:20
JardínGarden

Out to the raised bed. Water, dig, count what grew. Cilantro, mint, and tomatoes that never last.

10:50
DespedidaGoodbye

A closing song, a hug, and a two line text to you about one thing your kid said in Spanish today.

Soy Marisol. Nine years teaching kindergarten, six of them bilingual.

I grew up speaking Spanish in Nogales and taught kindergarten in the West Valley for nine years, six of those in a dual language classroom. I started the casita in 2021 because parents kept asking me where to send a three year old who was not ready for a full preschool day.

Eight is the number where I can still hear every child. I have never gone above it and I am not going to.

  • Native speaker, raised in Nogales, Sonora
  • Nine years in a public school kindergarten
  • CPR and pediatric first aid, current through 2027
  • Arizona fingerprint clearance card on file

¿Y si no hablamos español en casa?

Most of my families do not. Kids who hear it three mornings a week start using it anyway, first in songs, then in requests. You will not be behind.

¿Está listo mi hijo de dos años?

If they can be away from you for two hours, yes. Still in diapers is fine. I have changed a lot of them.

¿Aceptan ESA?

Yes. I invoice through ClassWallet and send you the receipt the same day. I can walk you through the first submission on the phone.

¿Qué tienen que traer?

A water bottle, a change of clothes, and shoes that can get dirty in the garden. Snack comes out of my kitchen.

Escríbame Tell me your child's age and I will tell you if there is room.

I answer texts faster than email, usually in the afternoon while the kids are gone. You are welcome to come sit through a whole morning before you decide anything.
